Automated events and actions
A system administrator can define events for specific worksheets in defined circumstances. Additional qualifying conditions can restrict these events to a subset of worksheets.
Once defined, the worksheets can be configured so that when the events occur, they cause automated actions.
For example, it is possible to:
-
Define an event that occurs when a licence is issued, but only if it is assigned to either of two named officers.
and
-
Configure a Licence application type so that when this event occurs, a letter is created using a particular template.
Note
Automated events and actions are not currently supported for Contaminated Land Site, HMO Detail, and PWS Detail records.
This functionality is currently restricted to Public Protection worksheets and Field Change events.

Qualifying conditions can be based on:
-
PPM_WORKSHEET.OFFICER field (Officer)
-
PPM_WORKSHEET.OUTCOME field (Outcome)
-
PPM_FOODREG.FSACAT field (FSA Category for Food Business applications only)
-
PPP_LICETRANTYPE field (Transaction Type for Licence applications only)
The actions currently supported are Create Letter and (for Inspection worksheets only) Create Worksheet.
-
For a Create Letter action the parameters are one or more document templates from the relevant document group.
If an Action code is associated with a template that action is added to the Actions tab of the worksheet when the status of the letter becomes Completed. If no Action code is specified, a default action is used.
-
For a Create Worksheet action the parameters are the Inspection worksheet (task) type to be created and the responsible officer. If your authority has adopted the Food Standards Delivery Model (FSDM), another parameter determines whether the inspection is due immediately or at the Triage frequency defined in your FSDM configuration.
Note
Currently, the Create Worksheet action cannot create PSH Inspections.
