Define menu groups

Creating a menu group

To create a menu group, do the following:

  1. On the System Administration screen, click GIS Settings.

    The GIS Administration screen appears.

  2. Click Overlay Settings.

    The Overlay Settings screen appears.

  3. Click Menu List.

    The Overlay Menu screen appears.

  4. Click Menu Group List.

    The Menu Group page appears.

  5. Click Add a New Menu Group.

  6. In the Menu Group Name field, enter the name of the group.

  7. Only for ASSURE Land & Property, in the Category field, select the relevant user-defined object (UDO) category.

    On saving, ASSURE automatically creates a corresponding UDO group with the same name as the menu group within the selected category and appends a [GIS - Read Only] suffix to indicate that the group's items will be exclusively defined by overlay services.

  8. Click Save.

The new menu group is activated and listed on the Menu Group page.

Editing a menu group

  1. On the System Administration screen, click GIS Settings.

  2. Click Overlay Settings.

  3. Click Menu List.

  4. Click Menu Group List.

  5. Click the menu group's menu and select Edit.

  6. Change the groups name and, for ASSURE Land & Property, its UDO category.

  7. Click Save.

Deactivating a menu group

Deactivating a menu group makes all of the menu items in that group unavailable.

  1. On the Menu Group page, click the menu group's menu and select Deactivate.

  2. Click Yes to confirm.

The menu group is deactivated and removed from the list of active menu groups.

Reactivating a menu group

  1. On the Menu Group page, in the Filter Type list, select Inactive.

  2. Click the menu group's menu and select Activate.

  3. Click Yes to confirm.

The menu group is reactivated and removed from the list of inactive menu groups.
